My Dream Dinosaur Competition

and the winner is...

A massive thank you to all children that got involved with our competition, we were overwhelmed by all the creative entries we received. Since we opened the competition back in July we have received over 230 entries across the UK with the best variety of dinosaur drawings we have ever seen!

Our panel of judges found it extremely difficult to pick the winning designs as there were so many incredible dinos to choose from. We hope the winners get to enjoy the Dinosaurs of China in all their glory at Wollaton Hall before the exhibit closes. If you didn’t win this time we want you to continue drawing and there may be more dinosaur fun to come from GreatBeanBags in the coming months.

Please note the Dinosaurs of China exhibit tickets are not valid on the 22nd and 29th October.

Flynnosaurus

by Flynn

Aged 5 from SS Peter and Pauls School

This dinosaur truly blew us away. The patchwork design was a stroke of genius and the smaller animals living on it’s body was such a very clever detail! The Flynnosaurus’s large green tail looks perfect for bashing trees down and protecting the little critters that live on it.

Congratulations Flynn, your dream dinosaur is going to be printed onto a giant slab bean bag and sent to your house so you can bring the Flynnosaurus home!

Comotriceratops

by Molly

Aged 8 from Southglade Primary School in Nottingham

This dinosaur was out of this world! The shiny, space-themed creature showed real imagination and was a dinosaur idea we had never considered. The cosmic blue skin was made better by the shiny patches around the body, making the Comotriceratops look graceful yet very strong.

Amazing work, Molly, we hope you get to see the Dinosaurs of China in real life!

Two-O-Saurus

by Riley

Aged 7 from Dodford First School in Bromsgrove

The volcanic eruption behind this fearsome two-headed t-rex impressed our judges a lot. The detailed ridges of this beast coupled with it’s two chomping heads meant we had to include this in our top 3! Riley created a truly unique dream dinosaur and clearly put a lot of effort into this design.

Well done, Riley, you will also win a family ticket to the Dinosaurs of China exhibit!

Featuring fossils and specimens that are making their first trip out of Asia for this exhibition, Dinosaurs of China will be housed at Wollaton Hall and Lakeside Arts in Nottingham, and will tell the story of how dinosaurs evolved into the birds that live around us today.
