Bean Bag Materials

Sherwood bean bags: The Sherwood range is manufactured from a high quality 'easy clean', fire retardant faux leather Vinyl.

There are many benefits for using faux leather for bean bag construction as faux leather is a synthetic material, the surface is a lot more uniform and comes without the organic wrinkles and marks associated with real leather bean bags. It can also be more easily dyed, giving a real diversity with a host of colours to choose from for your bean bag.

Faux leather is a resilient material that copes well as bean bag furniture in tough environments. It is less prone to scratching than many other materials, including real leather. It is perfect for a bar, café or kitchen area as it is resistant to heat and moisture, doesn't stain, and can be simply wiped clean if anything is spilt on it. Faux leather bean bags are also a lot less susceptible to chemical cleaning agents than real leather bean bags.

The techniques employed to make faux leather these days are so advanced that many people can be hard pushed to tell the difference between a bean bag made from faux leather from real leather bean bags.

Being easier to produce, using faux leather instead of real leather keeps the cost of producing our bean bags down which in turn means that, costs for you, the customer are also kept as low as possible which is all-important to us.
